Project Introduction
The Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation of Wellhead Platform(S1), Submarine Cables and Pipelines Between S1 and Salman Complex Project was awarded to Asfalt Tous Company by Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC).
This project involves work in two locations; new facilities in satellite wellhead platform, S1, over the
Salman reservoir and additions to the existing Salman Complex.
This Project intended to increase the predictability of the oil wells by increasing gas lift capabilities of GLP Platform in S1 facilities.
Salman Oil and Gas Field is an active oil producing complex in the Persian Gulf, in Iranian waters s144 km south of Lavan Island.
Salman field straddles the Iran – Abu Dhabi border with approximately two-thirds of the producing structure lying in Iranian waters.
The existing offshore facilities at the Salman oil and gas field has been producing since 1968 and its current production rate is around 55,000 bbl/day. The extracted crude oil is processed and exported via a subsea pipeline to onshore facilities at Lavan Island.
Project Sections
- New wellhead platform and facilities (S1 Platform)
- One 6” submarine pipeline as test line from S1 wellhead platform to existing salman complex platform (PP3 Platform).
- One 12” submarine pipeline as production Line by around 10,000 bbl/day capacity from S1 wellhead platform to existing salman complex platform (PP3 Platform).
- One 6” submarine pipeline as gas lift line with 25MMSCFD capacity from existing salman complex platform (GLP Platform) to S1 wellhead platform.
- Two subsea cables between existing salman complex (FP Platform) and S1 Wellhead Platform.
- Tie-ins to existing salman complex platforms and facilities (PP3, FP&GLP Platforms).
- Required modification of existing salman complex platforms and facilities (PP3, FP&GLP Platforms).
